EG Constructors and EG Solutions’ personnel were retained to construct a 24-unit Aircraft Design Group I T-hangar complex for the Charlotte County Airport Authority. Each hangar has a 43-foot wide door opening with a 12-foot x 9-foot clear height opening. The metal building has a galvalume finish and is a 24-gage metal designed for 130 mph windload. There is a four-hour firewall at 12,000 square feet and a one-hour firewall at the end storage units. The 27,000 square feet floor slab is a 4-inch reinforced slab with thickened edges. Each unit has a skylight. The doors are hydraulic hydroswing doors. The taxilanes and taxidrives are constructed of flexible pavement.
