EG Solutions is excited to have been ranked as the #1 firm throughout the selection process for the Construction Engineering Inspection (CEI) Services at Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) for Terminal Expansion Phase II and awarded the contract September 5, 2024 at the joint board meeting for the Lee County Port Authority and the Airport Special Management Committee.
EG Solutions has been providing CEI Services for the RSW Terminal Expansion Phase I project which began in October 2021and included consolidating the security checkpoints and adding concession space to provide more facilities and options for travelers as well as a Remote Loading Dock. The Terminal Expansion Phase II project expands the existing terminal with the addition of Concourse E (14 gates), Chiller Plant Facility upgrades, and various terminal facilities. Both landside (roadway and terminal curb modifications) and airside improvements (taxiways and aprons) will be made and the project may also include the expansion of the Centralized Receiving and Distribution Center as well as the addition of 3rd level pedestrian bridges.
Phases I and II represent $1.5 billion in improvements. This is the largest capital improvement project in RSW’s history as well as in Lee County.
